Group Offerings
Creative expression and shared discovery
In these gatherings, we explore the intersection of creativity and self-discovery.
Whether creating SoulCollage® cards, decorating Ukrainian eggs (Pysanky), or diving into meaningful books, we practice moving from head to heart, allowing art and conversation to do their deeper work within us.
Explore my group offerings below and visit the Events Page for upcoming dates and registration.
SoulCollage®
SoulCollage® is a gentle collage-making practice that helps you connect with your intuition through images. No artistic experience is needed—just openness to what emerges as you create cards that reflect different aspects of yourself.
-
SoulCollage® is a fun, easy, creative, collage process, created by Senna Frost, MDiv, MA (1932-1916) author of SoulCollage Evolving.
This soul-tending practice honors one’s personal journey, while promoting self-acceptance and personal growth. Making SoulCollage® cards helps to enhance your creativity, identify inner strengths, tap into your inner wisdom and intuition, and learn to love ALL of your parts.
According to Seena, the “3 Ss of SoulCollage” are: Surprise, Synchronicity, and Sacredness. This practice ties in well with Jungian psychology and more recently with Internal Family Systems (IFS).
-
The process consists of spending time paging through images and then creating several 5”x 8” cards.
This is a gentle, non-judgemental activity which anyone can do. Afterwards, we select a card and do a short journaling exercise. Participants often share with a partner or in a larger group.
This embodied mindfulness practice is community-building, encourages self-care, and helps us get from the head to the heart in a fun and engaging way!
I have found SoulCollage® to be an excellent modality along side of therapy and coaching to promote healing.
Ukrainian Egg Decorating
Learn the ancient art of Ukrainian egg decorating (Pysanky) using traditional wax-resist techniques. This meditative practice teaches patience and faith as beautiful patterns emerge through layers of dye and wax.
-
“Pysanky”, intricately decorated eggs using a wax-resist method from Ukraine , have been traced back to pre-Christian times, where eggs symbolized the sun and the renewal of life. This ancient artform of writing with beeswax on the egg became part of pagan and Christian traditions. The eggs carry a lot of symbolism in the motifs used and in the colors. It is believed that making these eggs will bring about protection and good fortune.
-
This workshop is for adults. We use raw eggs with a wax resist method, similar to batik.
Our writing implement is a stylus which we heat up in a candleflame and then scoop wax into the funnel at the end of the stylus, so that the hot wax will write on the surface of the egg. From there we immerse the egg in a series of dyes, often ending in a dark color such as black.
The process is fun, but one needs a steady hand and patience. As the egg gets uglier and uglier (through applying more and more wax), we continue to remind ourselves that something incredibly beautiful will pop out at the end.
In this way, this workshop provides participants an opportunity to develop their faith and courage “muscles”.
Book Discussion Group
Join thoughtful conversations about books that support personal growth and self-care. We explore meaningful themes together, creating space for reflection and connection through shared reading.
-
In working 1:1 with clients I have found that many people struggle with putting themselves higher on their “to do” lists.
I have found that group discussions can be an effective tool in bringing about more personal growth. These environments are community-building and help clients realize they are not the only ones with their particular struggles.
It is empowering to realize that each member of the group has wisdom to share.
-
This group will take place virtually. We will meet every two weeks for 6 months.
The book “The Art of Extreme Self-Care” has twelve chapters, making it possible to cover two chapters a month.
While therapy and coaching can help with self-care, a group can promote personal growth and healing in a different way since all members have insights to share and our struggles are often very similar.
There will be guidelines for group discussion so that all members feel safe and welcome.

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST CERTIFIED COACH
Creativity has been my companion through every season of life. I majored in Art History at Smith College, spent years knitting and making pottery, and have always been drawn to beauty and creating with my hands.
As a retired neuropsychologist with 25+ years of experience, I've learned that healing happens not just through words, but through our whole selves—mind, heart, and hands. Whether we're creating collage cards, decorating eggs with ancient techniques, or exploring meaningful books together, I believe in the wisdom that emerges when we give ourselves permission to play, reflect, and discover alongside others.
