Compassionate support for your journey

What if your life isn't a problem to be solved, but a gift to be opened?

A person raising their hand outdoors, with sunlight and bokeh background.

This simple shift in perspective changes everything. Instead of seeing your challenges, transitions, or inner struggles as things that need fixing, we can approach them with curiosity and compassion.

Whether you're navigating retirement, facing loss, dealing with health changes, or simply feeling called toward more authentic living, individual work offers a sacred space to unwrap what's emerging in your life.

Through Internal Family Systems therapy and coaching, we explore what it means to befriend all parts of yourself - even the uncomfortable ones - with the gentle understanding that every part of your experience has wisdom to offer. My approach is also Alanon and recovery friendly.

Let's Journey Together

You may be here because you’re…

Navigating a major life transition.

Perhaps you're facing retirement, mortality, or changes brought on by illness (your own or a family member's).

Seeking to reflect and continue growing.

You want to make meaningful changes while honoring your life experiences and the wisdom you’ve gained over time.

Working through regrets or learning self-love.

You're on the journey of befriending yourself and becoming comfortable with what feels uncomfortable.

Behind the sofa, there is a white window with sheer white curtains and a wooden window frame, with two small potted plants placed on the windowsill. To the left, a tall white floor lamp with a wooden stand is turned off. In the foreground, blurred green leaves of a houseplant are visible.

Individual Therapy

For clients in Massachusetts

Traditional therapy using Internal Family Systems to help you navigate life's challenges and transitions. This service is available for Massachusetts residents with Medicare coverage.

  • All sessions are virtual (Zoom), 45 minutes in length.  Please schedule a 15-minute complimentary session to see if we are a good fit.

  • Once I have an opening for you in my practice, I would need to verify your type of Medicare insurance and let you know the details including whether or not there is a co-pay.  You must be a resident of MA.

A self-pay option is available for clients who are not on Medicare.

Coaching

For those seeking personalized Internal Family Systems support without insurance constraints. This self-pay option is available to clients anywhere, offering flexibility and deeper exploration of IFS principles for personal growth and life transitions.

  • Health coaching is a collaborative effort.  We work together to find solutions.

The approach is non-judgemental so that challenges, fears, and intentions can be openly discussed in a safe environment.

There is a holistic focus on looking at how career goals, retirement, and relationships contribute to overall well being.

The overall goal is to encourage deep and sustainable changes which will continue over time.

  • I often meet with clients every two weeks to help establish goals and consistency.  Investment is $150 per session.

  • Dr. Goodell was a very positive force for me during a very difficult time for my family. She helped us begin a process that changed the course of our children’s lives. My children are now thriving in their new learning environment, and I am forever grateful to Eliza for her information, direction, support, guidance and ability to help me find my own strength in the most positive way.

    D.H.

  • Dr. Goodell’s caring and respectful advocacy for our daughter over the past year has helped her transition successfully, not only from one school to another, but within her own mind. Her self-confidence is (back) on the rise. She believes in her abilities and has a clear(er) understanding of how her brain works and why. She is learning to be a strong advocate for herself and it all began with Dr. Goodell. Her holistic approach and impeccable follow-up were invaluable to our family.

    A.S.

  • Dr. Goodell’s demeanor and calm style made working with her educational, informative, insightful and enormously productive and helpful. Absolutely would highly recommend Dr. Goodell to others.

    P.W.

  • In our opinion, Dr. Goodell is the best in her field. Aside from her intelligence, she is a gifted practitioner. She cares for all those who seek her expertise. Dr. Goodell treated us as if we were her top priority. She is exceptional.

FAQS

  • A health coach partners with clients to help them achieve wellness and health goals.

A holistic approach is taken, considering all aspects of a person, not just exercise and diet.  This would include factors such as retirement, career, spirituality, stress and relationships, all of which can affect overall health.

  • This training was developed by naturopath, Dr. Stephen Cabral.

I completed IHP1 and IHP2 in 2020.  In addition to learning the principles of life coaching, we covered seven integrative disciplines: Functional Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine, Bioregulatory Medicine, Chinese Medicine and Herbalism, Eastern Philosophy, Naturopathy, and Traditional Orthomolecular Medicine.

Our curriculum also dealt with common health issues such as weight management, removing toxins from the body, diet bio-individuation, sleep issues, reducing stress, rebalancing the body, exercise programming, and balancing emotions.

My goal is to provide health coaching within the context of Internal Family Systems, with an emphasis on functional medicine and an appreciation of everyday health issues.

  • Therapy focuses on examining mental health conditions and healing emotional trauma.  In contrast, a coach concentrates on future goals by focusing on the present and future.  Both therapy and coaching can be done using the principles of Internal Family Systems.  In both cases, “All parts are welcome.”

  • The therapy and coaching take place online using Zoom.  However, if a client is using insurance (such as Medicare), we will meet once a year in person.

  • Schedule a 15 minute complimentary session to see if we are a good fit and after that session I will give you more details on scheduling.

The best relationship I have is the one I have with myself.
